Firstly, a massive thank you to all who attended the April instalment of our Spring Quiz series on Saturday. It was a brilliant night and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
We’re especially grateful to David and Amanda Force who came along to present a unique “objects” round, with a selection of curious antiques and some very tall stories for our quizzers to ponder over.
We had a bumper number of entrants and the hall was packed with lively teams who kept Cal, our resident quiz wizard, well and truly on his toes!
Huge congratulations to the winners Strait Outta Westley for their landslide victory, clearing the next closest score by over 10 points!
Our ‘wood and spoon’ was won by David Force’s team but after hosting two fantastic antique rounds in the style of the quiz show QI, he was really the winner!
Thank you also to our wonderful committee: Quiz master, Cal; our bar staff, Robin, Jayne and Jon; and a massive shout out to Vicki for feeding us delicious chilli nachos
