May Day Highlights

Pet Mascot Update: Fudge (left) has officially been crowned our mascot, with Clay (right or below) coming in a very close second. Congratulations to Fudge!!

Lego Build: The Lego project was a great success. We now have foundations, a doorway, chimney, toilets, stairs, a fireplace… and even a food truck.

Thank Yous all Round

A huge thank you to Exeter Brewery for donating the barrel of Avocet Ale, which proved so popular it was gone by 2pm. Thank you to Jon, for doing two supermarket runs on Monday to keep our bar stocked.

Thank you to our KPCG Volunteers for their dedication on the day running the bar, Pet Photo Competition and Lego Rebuild as well as talking to people about the project.

Massive thanks to everyone who came along and supported the event.

The sunshine made it a brilliant day for Kenton Primary School, and together we raised £262 for them. We’re grateful to Heather McGrouther‑Bradley for inviting us to be part of the event.

In total we raised £2423!!

Finally, a big thank you to the BBC for their news story on our efforts to buy and renovate the pub – you can read the article here. Also the BBC Spotlight team for joining us on the day. The media coverage was a fantastic boost for us. Since it aired, we’ve received additional Share Pledge offers, which is hugely encouraging.
