A ‘Key’ Addition to The Dolphin

Excuse the musical pun… but we’re excited to announce that The Dolphin now has its very own upright Bentley piano!

Last night, two of our brilliant committee members, Jayne and Vicki, popped over to give the keys a spin, and made this short video (below) while they were there. I’m sure you’ll agree it sounds absolutely wonderful.

The piano itself is in fantastic condition: beautifully kept, in tune, and clearly well loved. We’re incredibly grateful for this generous donation — our very first piece of ‘furniture’ for The Dolphin.

A huge thank you to David Matthews from Ipswich for his kindness and support. What some of you may not know is that David is the father of Edward Matthews at Ford Farm Court. He’s also a regular visitor to Kenton, so we’ve got our fingers crossed he’ll be willing to play us a tune on his next visit.

Our new piano will take pride of place in the pub. So dust off your sheet music, get practising, and we can’t wait to hear a few ‘tunes at The Dolphin’ once we open our doors.
